Pongal Cooking Competition – Terms and Conditions

Competition Details:
  • Time: 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM
  • Place: Opposite to Ulavar Santhai
  • Duration: 2.5 hours
  • Theme: Any type of Pongal
Materials & Equipment:
  • Earthen stoves, clay pots, and firewood will be provided by the organizers at the venue.
  • Participants may prepare any type of Pongal.
  • Participants can use any type of rice or millets as the primary ingredient.
  • All other required cooking items, utensils, and ingredients must be brought by the participants.
Participation Rules:
  • One participant per entry is allowed.
  • Participants must register through the provided form or via spot registration.
  • Only 30 entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Spot registrations will be allowed only if slots are available.
  • Participants must prepare the dish within the allotted time.
  • Participants must write their Pongal recipe separately and display it alongside the prepared dish for judgment.
Judgment Criteria:
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

  • The program schedule is tentative and subject to change. The event organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the event.
